• Provide electrical engineering services to internal and external City stakeholders.

About the role

The Electrical Engineer Estimator will provide critical technical support to the team in relation to the design, sign-off and implementation of Switchboard, CCTV, WiFi and Fibre Optic network products and services.

This role also holds an innovation aspect for the successful candidate to use their knowledge and experience of product design to develop and improve existing products to gain efficiencies for asset owners, further developing and introducing new products/technology to benefit City Asset Managers with potential to market on a commercial basis.

Project management and delivery will be a key responsibility of this position, with the successful candidate having prior experience in the preparation of tender and quotation documentation including the review of awarded tenders and preparation of associated contract documentation. Support the team by creating and developing the project scope, design documents and delivery requirements to drive best practices, ensure safe working practices and deliver quality products to the City's clients both internal and external.

Essential qualifications and experience:

• Degree level qualifications in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or similar)
• Substantial experience in the electrical and/or electronic engineering industry with proven ability to successfully deliver projects
• National Construction Industry Induction (Whitecard)
• Current Class C Drivers Licence.

• Starting salary range of $95K to $100K + Superannuation + allowances
• Permanent Full Time 35 hours per week
• Flexible working arrangements including options to accrue flex time
• Generous leave entitlements - long service leave after 5 years
• Consideration for relocation support for the right candidate.

This role will see the successful candidate be required to be rostered for "on call" periods. In addition, travel outside the LGA and working away both overnight and for extended periods will be required - with applicable allowances being provided.
