- $1026.90 to $1175.30 per week + 11% superannuation

The opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Trades Assistant to join our Structures team. The primary purpose of this role is to support Council's tradespeople, leading hands and site leaders in various civil construction tasks, including formwork, steel reinforcement, concreting, and erection of minor structures.
Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Using hand tools and small items of motorised equipment
- Labouring duties
- Erecting guardrails, guide posts, sign posts, signs and fencing
- Assisting with traffic control
Required skills and experience
Your experience and knowledge within the construction industry make you a prime candidate for this role. Essential requirements include holding a Certificate II in a construction-related field or possessing equivalent experience, along with a WHS Construction Induction Certificate and a Class MR drivers license. Your physical fitness and competency in performing manual duties are crucial, as is your awareness of traffic control at worksites.
Additionally, possessing desirable skills such as a Class HR drivers license, a current first aid certificate, and experience operating heavy plant machinery further enhance your suitability for the role.
