Noongar Arts Program Coordinator - City of Bunbury

As the Noongar Arts Program Coordinator you will play a vital role in advancing Noongar arts practice and cultural development in the Southwest region. Your expertise and insights are essential in shaping our programs and initiatives, ensuring they authentically represent and celebrate Indigenous perspectives.

About you:

Are you passionate about cultural inclusivity and dedicated promoting Noongar artists and programs? Do you possess the drive and experience to lead projects and initiatives that make a real difference in our community?

We're looking for someone to take on the following key accountabilities:

  • Support Noongar artists from the Southwest region in developing and advancing their arts practice to the highest standards
  • Collaborate with Bunbury Regional Art Galleries (BRAG) staff to deliver workshops and programs focusing on art making, small business, and professional development training for program participants
  • Identify funding opportunities for Southwest Noongar artists programs and prepare funding applications as necessary
  • Facilitate the Noongar artist-in-residence program at BRAG and ensure seamless integration into the overall program
  • Assist in planning and delivering BRAG's Noongar Country exhibition, showcasing the richness of Noongar culture
  • Participate in and contribute to the City of Bunbury Reconciliation Action Plan process, promoting reconciliation and cultural awareness.
