About the role

This is a newly created position which is responsible for the delivery of high-quality training primarily for a culturally and linguistically diverse workforce, many in their first work role in Australia. This role will focus on impactful training and coaching to support this workforce thrive and succeed in their role.

There will be a strong emphasis on developing communication skills and understanding workplace expectations. The role will also provide other training administration and support as required.

Your daily duties will vary but will include:

  • Design, develop and deliver training program(s), for a CALD workforce across a range of learning platforms, including; online workshops, employee-led online modules, and face to face delivery
  • Partner with the leadership team to conduct program-wide and site-specific training needs analysis. Design and develop training content to meet the agreed scope in an agile environment
  • Induct new team members (at all levels) to the job role and develop their workplace capability through
  • Establishing an understanding of workplace expectations and cohealth policies and process
  • Building job role confidence and competency
  • Building communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
  • Leadership approaches within a Human Rights-based culture
  • Tailor core programs to meet the requirements of different teams/ locations
  • Develop and deliver effective and engaging training programs in small group and online environments
  • Display and utilise strong coaching and facilitation skills
  • Develop effective evaluation/impact measurements and regularly report these with key stakeholders
  • Administer training attendance, support local leadership in scheduling and provide reports and analytics on training uptake and outcomes
  • Partner and collaborate with key stakeholders to assess and undertake the continuous improvement of the training programs
  • Support LMS administration
  • An interest/experience in supporting and developing a workforce diverse in culture, age and experience is essential
  • Carry out duties in a manner that does not adversely affect their own health and safety of others by reporting all incidents and injuries as well as cooperating with any measures introduced in the workplace to improve
  • Work Health & Safety (WHS): Comply and adhere to all cohealth policies and procedures including code of conduct and values
  • Undertake special projects or tasks as defined by the Senior Manager Organisational Development
  • Perform all other duties as directed, within the limits of skills, competence, and training to maximise flexibility and effectiveness.

Position requirements

  • Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
  • Victoria Police Check
  • Current Victorian Driver's License
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessing or equivalent qualification

About you:

  • Previous experience in a Learning & Development or training role
  • Demonstrated experience in scoping, developing, and delivering training
  • Demonstrated experience in assessing the impact of training
  • Demonstrated experience in tailoring training to meet the needs of different groups
  • Experience in coaching and/or facilitating
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in training culturally and linguistically diverse groups
  • Is a devoted lifelong learner who openly shares knowledge;
  • Experience in supporting employees start and thrive in entry-level roles will be highly regarded
