- Full-time, fixed-term role until 30 June 2022 (with possibility of extension)
- Attractive remuneration, $85k base + super & ability to salary package
- Located at Parkville, North Western Melbourne PHN - this role will be supported to work from home during restrictions
The Lead, Alcohol and Other Drugs will lead the successful delivery of NWMPHN's Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) commissioning and capacity building activities. By identifying AOD system needs, and engaging relevant stakeholders, the role will work to develop evidence-based business cases that seek to respond to the needs of people affected by AOD in North Western Melbourne.
A typical day for the Lead may include:
- Leading the commissioning and procurement of AOD activities consistent with NWMPHN practices
- Analysing available data to draw meaning and inform contract management, AOD program priorities and best practice
- Undertaking meaningful and multifaceted engagement with community stakeholders including consumers, carers, people with lived experience, services providers, and policymakers
- Line management of a Program Officer within the AOD team
We are looking for someone who has:
- High-level project planning, change management, evaluation, and problem-solving skills
- Experience leading and building the capacity of teams and individuals
- Experience using data to inform improvement activities, and the ability to provide constructive feedback across sensitive subjects
- Understanding of the community health sector, AOD's role within it and the need for equity-focused strategies and a commitment to reducing stigma and discrimination
- Tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated experience in health and/or, social sciences and/or community development
