We are positioned within the Best Friends Pet Care Supercentre, Tuggeranong. Our Best Friends stores have a huge range of pet supplies, a state-of-the-art professional dog grooming Salon, Our Vet™ Clinic and Puppy Pre-School.Our Vet Clinics have a full service facility with designated surgery, laboratory, pharmacy and kenneling area. We are dedicated to preventative medicine for animals at every stage of life. By preventing health problems before they start and detecting issues before they become serious, we keep pets healthier and happier. We offer a complete range of veterinary services from general consultations, vaccinations and microchipping to full surgery and pathology. All of our clinics have the additional support and guidance by our national Support Centre. In addition, we partner with local shelters to help give abandoned animals a second chance through our Kitten Adoption program.Your key responsibilities will include:Assisting Veterinarians during consultations, examinations and treatments.Assist with surgery preparations and monitoring anaesthesia.Nursing hospitalized animals, including wound management and bandaging support, feeding and exercising.Administer treatments such as injections, medication, fluid therapy, dressing and first aid.Maintaining clinic hygiene throughout consulting rooms, surgeries and reception area.Ability to provide clients with general health and nutritional advice especially with regards to promoting wellness programs and products.Clinic reception duties including greeting patients and clients to the clinic, answering phones, record keeping, filing and billing.Monitor and restock clinic supplies including ordering supplies.As our Experienced Veterinary Nurse you will have:At least one years' experience working as a Veterinary Nurse in a busy clinic environment.Confidence in the clinical aspects of Veterinary Nursing.Proven strong customer service experience in a customer facing role.Exceptional animal handling skills.A warm, friendly and caring attitude towards clients and their pets.Excellent client communication skills and a passion to help clients, especially with regards to promoting wellness programs and products.The maturity to professionally liaise with a broad customer base.A proven ability to be a team player.Extraordinary time management and organizational skills.The flexibility to work on a rotational roster including regular weekends.Apply Now if you would love an opportunity to immerse yourself in the world you adore in which you can grow and develop alongside your supportive team.
