We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Program Manager to join our team on a 12 month fixed term contract, located in Mentone. You will steward critical enterprise investments and drive delivery of strategic and transformational change by managing all internal and external stakeholders to ensure high quality, cost effective, business focused outcomes.

Reporting to the Head of Enterprise PMO, your key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with business sponsors to define success metrics & ensuring all projects meet ROI targets;
  • Providing overall program leadership, guidance & managing all aspects of a given project;
  • A "hands on role" developing many of the project deliverables that will drive project success;
  • Evaluating trade-offs between project size, complexity, cost, urgency, risk & stakeholder value;
  • Building, leading & coaching the project teams throughout project lifecycles and facilitating all checkpoint meetings;
  • Developing resourcing strategies to facilitate adequate support for projects & day-to-day operational activities;
  • Leading cross-functional meetings & fostering teamwork; driving escalation & resolution of issues and resolving high priority project risks;
  • Promoting collaboration & coordination across broad range of stakeholders;
  • Providing steady leadership in the face of uncertainty, change & aggressive deadlines common to a rapidly growing company with an evolving business model;
  • Assisting & sharing learning, & mentoring others within the PMO regarding standards, organizational understanding & relationship building to promote the successful delivery of projects;
  • Maintain excellent relationships with all levels of the matrix organization.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of project management experience; managing projects and programs in a cost conscious operating environment. You will have a demonstrated ability to manage & imbed change, expertise in the use of project management methodologies & tools and experience in engaging & managing stakeholder expectations. Highly advantageous is experience with M&A / Export & Revenue projects, along with IT & Process improvement projects.

You will have strong planning, organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to mobilize & motivate teams, set direction and resolve conflict. Your honest and ethical approach, strong problem solving & interpersonal skills and excellent communication will ensure your success in the role.

You will be at home working in a matrix structure and comfortable in an environment that has a lot of project dependencies and therefore some ambiguity and frequent change. To hit the ground running in this exciting and challenging role, you will be an agile learner with the drive and commitment to truly understand the business.

The role will require occasional travel.
